Dairy Products

We certainly do enjoy our daily consumption of dairy products, but I have often wondered “does milk cause cellulite?” Can we improve the look of our skin and get rid of cellulite simply by making a dietary change?

Lots of people have wondered if milk causes cellulite. While some of us would not enjoy giving up our daily dairy products, others might find this to be worth a shot if it means no more cellulite!

Hormones

One of the biggest controversies surrounding milk is the amount of hormones often found in it. Hormones given to the cows to enable them to produce more milk are often passed into the milk we drink. Some people feel that these extra hormones can do damage to our bodies when we regularly consume them.

Since cellulite responds to hormonal changes within the body, it would make sense that an increase in hormones could trigger an increase in the amount of cellulite found on the skin. Some studies have shown that a reduction of cellulite was found in women who stopped using dairy products. It took about six to twelve months for these women to notice a difference in their skin.

For many women who are dying to get rid of their cellulite and have tried many different products, a simple diet change may be just the solution they need. This can be hard to accomplish, however. Dairy products are found in a lot of the foods we eat. Just try eating something that doesnt contain milk or cheese.

An easy way to get around using regular cow’s milk is to use goat’s milk. Goat milk doesnt usually have the hormones found in regular cow’s milk. Be careful with yogurt too as yogurt is made from cow’s milk and can contain hormones that are harmful.

Other Dairy Problems?

Other people may feel that there is no true answer to the question. They feel that this topic has not been studied enough and therefore no scientific conclusion can be drawn. While this point is valid, it should not be used to dissuade those who are interested in eliminating dairy from their diets in order to get smooth skin.

Not only are women asking about milk causing cellulite but many are wondering if milk products are the source of some of their other problems as well. These can include things such as digestive issues, weight gain and acne. Going off dairy products may be helpful for many reasons, not just with regard to cellulite.

Conclusion

In conclusion, only you can decide if milk really does effect your cellulite. If you decide to stay away from diary products, make sure you give yourself enough time to see results. A week or so probably will not cut it as our bodies can be slow to change. You will most likely need to dedicate 6 months to a year towards this goal. While after this amount of time you may not find any results with your cellulite, you may notice that you do not crave or tolerate milk products any longer.

Keeping In Shape

More and more people today are getting conscious of their figures, making them conscious too of the food they eat. Feeling and supposing that there is nothing wrong with your body does not necessarily means that you are indeed healthy inside and out. Doing regular workouts and staying away from all kinds of addictive drugs, including alcohol and tobacco, is the key. Knowing not only the healthiest foods to eat, but also which are best for your health and current body condition is one of the best ways to get, and keep, in perfect shape. With that, you definitely wouldn’t want to intake fatty foods unless those fats are the healthy ones, such as what is present in olive oil.

What Is Olive Oil?

Olive oil is an extract of the olive fruit. It is, in fact, a natural extract that preserves the aroma, taste and vitamins present in the olive. It is the only kind of oil that is ready for use without the need to undergo any other processing before being useful as food. Olive oil is known to be one of the healthiest oils in the world and provides many benefits.

The Different Kinds

You can find different kinds of olive oil on the market. Each one is categorized according to how the oil was extracted from the olive fruit, plus any other procedures included (if any) in order to come up with the end product. The best of them all is what is called extra virgin olive oil, which comes from the first extract. The virgin olive oil comes from the second pressing of the oil extract. Pure olive oil includes the process of filtering and refining. While the extra light olive oil undergoes several processes as well and ends up having only a very mild olive flavor.

When choosing among these four, the best choice would be the extra virgin olive oil. Since it comes from the first pressing and does not include any procedures, it makes the healthiest choice. The less the oil is handled means the more natural and the healthier it is.

How It Works

There is plenty of evidence on why olive oil, particularly the extra virgin olive oil, is perfect for our daily diet. The presence of mono-unsaturated fats proves to make it effective in preventing and reducing the risk of having coronary heart disease. Olive oil is also effective in making the arteries more elastic, because of the presence of polyphenol found in olives. It is also very good in regulating blood pressure and blood sugar level. In addition, the extra virgin olive oil is now a famous substance added to several beauty products, because of its capability to keep your skin young and vibrant.

Using Olive Oil

When you are striving to find the easiest ways to eat healthy but good-tasting foods, you may want to start cooking foods that are rich in nutrients using extra virgin olive oil as an alternative to your usual cooking oil. It is best to avoid the intake and usage of animal fats as much as possible. Aside from that, olive oil is also perfect for salads. This is definitely a healthy step towards a cancer-free, normal heart, normal blood pressure and the generally healthier and sexier body that you have probably been dreaming of.

Common Skin Rashes

MikeA September 4th, 2009

Foreword By The Editor

Skin rashes can often be a minor irritation (if you’ll excuse the pun) that sometimes develop into a major concern causing anxiety and emotional discomfort. Linda Robison purports to have many years of experience as a health advisor in this field so if you find this article informative, why not visit her site to find out more? See her ‘bio’ at the end of the article.

Causes Of Rashes

Acute dermatitis

Just thinking of rashes can make you feel itchy all over. The word rash covers a lot of territory. Common rashes alter the feel and look of your skin. Some appear on small areas and others can cover practically the entire body.

There are many different causes and many different types of skin rashes, such as bacterial rash, viral rash, sweat rash, stress rash, fungus rash, or even a sun poisoning rash.

Looking at pictures of skin rashes might give you a basic rash diagnosis but, having said that, many rashes behave so much alike that getting a medical skin rash diagnosis and treatment protocol is always a good idea.

Common Types of Rashes

One of the most common rashes is Atopic dermatitis, which is a kind of eczema. This rash is genetically linked and usually manifests itself in childhood. The general symptoms include patches of dry, scaly skin on the legs, arms, and chest.

A second very common rash is contact dermatitis. Basically your skin comes in contact with something that irritates it or to which you have an allergy. Poison ivy rash is one example.

Two other rashes that are scaly in character are pityriasis rosea and psoriasis. The latter is of genetic origin and predominantly appears on the body or as a leg  or arm rash near the knees or elbows.

One Type Of Rash Treatment

If you experience any type of common rashes such as prickly heat rash, fungal rash, or HIV rash then you might consider using a natural supplement to cleanse the skin from the inside. I’ve been recommending a natural herbal/biochemical tissue salt combination product.

These tablets help ease rashes because the combination encourages hydration in the skin, improved oxygen absorption, and removal of dead skin. Unlike some messy creams and lotions, this is much easier to use and doesn’t stain clothing because it is taken internally.
